Outside the Metro Court, Laura surprises Dante with welcome news.
Anna Devane is finally back.
Rather than worrying about what this means for the department, Dante admits he’s relieved.
In fact, he’s ready to hand the commissioner’s job back to Anna and step away from the responsibility altogether.
After everything his family has endured, Dante says his priorities have changed.
He wants to focus on Lulu.
He wants to focus on Rocco.
And he wants to be present for the people who need him most.
Laura understands completely.
After watching Dante fight to protect his son through impossible circumstances, she reminds him that he’s an exceptional father.
Martin Learns the Truth
Shortly after Dante leaves, Martin Grey arrives back in Port Charles following his trip to Reno.
At first, he jokes that Laura becoming mayor must have been a lucky break.
