The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) could get a brand-new love interest depending on where the show wants to take her character next. Is it time for Sharon to move on from indecisive Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?
There’s no denying that Sharon would like another Nick love story chapter, but Nick still hasn’t given her a real commitment.
If Nick still won’t go all in after the Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) chaos wraps up, then Sharon may have to reevaluate things.
Sharon and Nick have been through a lot together – and there’s more to come thanks to Matt’s latest Genoa City comeback.
If this awful ordeal can’t convince Nick to seal the deal, then he may not have a romantic future with Sharon.
With that in mind, we should perhaps mull over another romantic story route for Sharon.
We can think of at least one Y&R hunk who might grow closer to Sharon at exactly the right time.
Now that Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) is in Genoa City, he’s working with the GCPD to take down Matt.
If Detective Burrow plays a role in saving the day, that could earn Sharon’s deep gratitude.
It’s easy to imagine a scene where Sharon apologizes for not trusting Burrow before.
Sharon may thank Burrow for helping them put Matt behind the bars or in the ground depending on the outcome of all this.
If Burrow scores a permanent GCPD transfer in the end, that could pave the way for some Genoa City love.
Matt Cohen is a great actor who’s worth keeping around, so maybe the show will let him stay in town for some new stories.
Sharon and Detective Burrow might make a hot couple, so this pairing could be an option to consider.
It’d be an interesting twist if Burrow fell for Sharon in the midst of the Matt takedown that’s brewing.
That could stir up some jealousy for Nick, so it’s possible he could come around on recommitting to Sharon eventually.
However, it’s also possible that Sharon and Nick belong in the friend zone forever.
If that’s the case, then Sharon might want to explore something new with Detective Burrow!
