The canine led two residents, Dr. Isaiah Gannon and Porsha Robinson, straight to the partially buried body of Jack Brennan, the former WSB station chief whose disappearance has been shrouded in lies and cover-ups. The dog, normally cared for by Harrison Chase while her owner Cody Bell is out of town, escaped repeatedly and made a beeline for the exact spot where Drew Kaine and Ava Jerome had hastily buried Brennan.
On the first occasion, Charlotte Cassadine caught up with the dog and dragged her away, unaware that she was standing inches from a murdered federal agent. The second time, however, Outback ran off again from teenagers Scout Kaine and Rocco Falconer, and this time the trail led directly to the truth. Earlier that day, Dr. Gannon had pulled a rare CDC-reportable tick off Ava Jerome’s neck during an examination at General Hospital.
He questioned her about her movements in the past 24 hours, and she lied to his face. When Outback appeared at the cabin where Gannon and Robinson are staying, Gannon examined the dog and found the exact same breed of tick, confirming that Ava had been in the same woods as the dog and, by extension, the same location as the shallow grave.
