Tiger Woods breaks silence with social media message after returning from rehab to support Vanessa Trump

TIGER Woods has broken his silence with an emotional message after he returned from rehab to support Vanessa Trump.

The golf icon’s social media post comes just days after his girlfriend Vanessa revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

It’s the first time the 15-time major champion has spoken publicly since his quick trip back to the US from rehab in Switzerland to be with Vanessa.

His jet was spotted taking off on Saturday night from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida, and landed in Zurich, per Golfweek.

Woods posted a Memorial Day tribute on social media on Monday, thanking members of the United States Armed Forces.

The 50-year-old also paid tributes to his late father, Earl Woods, who served in the US Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War.

“My father was a Special Forces operator with two tours in Vietnam and 20 years of service. To all those like my father, we all say thank you for your sacrifices,” Woods wrote.

“Without them we wouldn’t have the greatest country on Earth.”

Woods’ message comes after it was revealed last week that he was still in Switzerland when girlfriend Vanessa Trump was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Trump revealed last Wednesday that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is “working closely” with doctors for a treatment plan.

“I want to share a personal health update. I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote.

“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”

Vanessa also shared that she had undergone a procedure earlier in the week.

“I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me,” she said.

The mother-of-five added that she is staying “focused and hopeful” as she begins her recovery.

Vanessa said she is surrounded by the love of her family, children, and those closest to her.

“Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express,” she wrote.

“I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.”

Woods has reportedly been a major source of support during the difficult time.

A source told Page Six that the golf legend is “really just focused on being there for her.”

“He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far,” the insider said.

“She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be OK.”

“He’s just trying to support her however he can right now.”
