The Young and the Restless Wednesday, April 15 Recap: Matt Claims Nick Is Dead of Overdose – Chelsea & Riza Face Off

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, April 15, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will make a 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 declaration about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) will also face some tension, so let’s talk about what’s coming up on Y&R.

In Las Vegas, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be expecting Riza when he opens the door to Chelsea, who came because she had a bad feeling.

When Chelsea gets the news that Nick is missing, she’ll realize this is why her instincts were pointing to trouble.

Riza will show up at one point, so she’ll wonder who Chelsea is while Chelsea wonders the same thing about Riza.

Chelsea will make it clear that she’s Adam’s partner and the mother of his child, so Adam will admit Riza already knows about her.

Riza will acknowledge that “Ronnie” aka Matt said something came up and that they’d have to reschedule his “Spider” meeting.

Since Riza won’t know where “Ronnie” went or where he’s staying, Chelsea will get annoyed with her.

Chelsea will eventually speak with Adam alone and fret over Matt’s upper hand on Nick.

Adam will also admit he suspects Nick’s painkiller use may have spiraled into him getting hooked on opioids, so that’ll bring another cause for concern.

After Riza returns to her suite and finds Ronnie there, he’ll grill her about whether she was in on the Newman brothers’ plot from the beginning or if they roped her into the scheme as they went along.

Riza will deny knowledge of the setup before Matt takes her with him to Adam’s suite.

Chelsea will plan to spit in Matt’s face if he comes any closer, so Matt will call her “spicy” and suggest Adam sure knows how to pick them!

Adam will warn Matt away from Chelsea and demand answers about Nick, so Matt will pretend he’s so sorry to inform him that Nick is dead following an overdose this morning.

Back in Genoa City, Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will stun Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) by admitting Devon Winters (Bryton James) filed a petition with the appellate court to have Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) plea deal reviewed.

That’ll leave Sharon terrified that the plea deal will get overturned and that Mariah could get thrown in prison, which would undo any progress she’s making at her psychiatric facility.

At Society, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will slam Devon for filing that petition without her, but he’ll argue that he thought they were on the same page.

Devon will make it clear that Mariah needs to be held responsible for kidnapping Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) and will insist this is about doing what’s best for their family.

Abby won’t see why Devon is filled with such rage and seems so vengeful against their former friend, who helped bring Dom into the world.

Devon will lash out at Abby for trying to make him the bad guy and will suggest she should be just as concerned as he is.

Once Sharon and Christine show up to make an appeal to Devon, he’ll insist he’s not changing his mind and stomp off.

However, Abby will listen as Sharon and Christine make a strong case for Mariah being right where she should be at her secure psychiatric facility.

Meanwhile, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will apologize to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who took her back home from the airport instead of moving ahead with their London trip.

Sally will be feeling exhausted and will blame it on a little bug, but she won’t think Billy should change his plans for her.

Billy will insist that’s nonsense since they can delay London while he sticks around to care for sick Sally.

Sally will keep trying to get rid of Billy as he dotes on her with soup, tea, and blankets.

After texting Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) for a favor, Sally will finally urge Billy to “shoo” for a bit under the guise of doing some business.

Audra will end up delivering a pregnancy test to Sally, who’ll hint that she’s been here before and knows the signs.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally will take that test soon enough and wait for the results, so stay tuned.
