Our deepest condolences to Days of Our Lives alum Arianne Zucker (ex-Nicole) as she says goodbye to her father, Barry. Even though losing a parent is something just about all of us have to go through, it always hits different, feeling, at times, like we lost a part of ourselves. Zucker shared the news on her Instagram page and didn’t shy away from how difficult it’s been.
“It’s been a tough year,” she wrote, “and last week was even harder. I had to say goodbye to my wonderful father. He loved his family, he loved to go house boating, he loved animals and he loved The Beach Boys. I’m going to miss you Pop pop!”
He sounds like a wonderful man.
It’s been a little while since Nicole rode off into the sunset with Eric (give or take some issues they’ve worked out offscreen), but her longtime friends and family at Days of Our Lives were quick to chime in with their support. Martha Madison (Belle), Eric Marstolf (Brady), Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) and Melissa Archer (ex-Serena) all offered their love and support. “Sending you so much love,” Madison shared.
And it didn’t stop there, as the outpouring from the fans was a mix of love, understanding and empathy, as quite a few folks chimed in, personally knowing how difficult it is to lose a parent. And we’re sure, of course, that hubby Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel) is right by her side through all of it.
