The air in Carly Spencer’s living room was thick enough to cut with a knife, the tension so suffocating that even the portraits on the walls seemed to hold their breath. She paced relentlessly, her heels wearing a path into the hardwood as her mind spiraled through every possible and impossible scenario involving Jack Brennan’s sudden, terrifying disappearance. The WSB agent, a man built of secrets and steel, had simply vanished, and every instinct Carly possessed screamed that something had gone catastrophically wrong.
She had called his phone so many times it felt like the number was branded into her brain, but each attempt was met with the same hollow, chilling silence. The space where he should have been was a gaping void, and her heart hammered with a primal fear she could barely contain.
The eerie silence of her mansion was shattered when a sudden, unexpected light illuminated her phone, the screen glowed with an unknown number, and she snatched it up with desperate speed. When she answered, the voice that greeted her was weak, raspy, and labored, a voice she knew intimately yet which was now strained by an unmistakable, terrible struggle. Carly’s blood ran cold as she recognized the sound of Brennan fighting for every single breath, his words a fragmented struggle against what was clearly a devastating physical trauma.
He managed, with immense effort, to choke out the most horrific truth she could have imagined, a narrative so insane that it made her head spin. Ava Jerome and Drew Cain had drugged him, believed him dead, and buried him in a shallow grave after throwing him into the hotel pool and moving his body to the remote Quartermaine nature preserve.
Carly was struck by a kind of shock that evolves into pure, primal rage, her own breath catching in her chest as he described waking up in a claustrophobic, suffocating tomb. He had managed to dig himself out just enough to access a backup phone, using it to call the only woman he knew could help him, a woman who had become more than just a contact to him. Without a single second of hesitation, she didn’t call the police, she didn’t call for an ambulance; she simply left everything and flew out of the door, her mind seeing only the image of Brennan being buried in hellish darkness.
As she drove like a woman possessed through the darkened streets of Port Charles, her foot pressed down on the accelerator harder, the engine roaring in defiance against the frozen air around her.
Her mind was a storm, picturing the scene with horrifying clarity as she navigated the familiar curves leading toward the edge of town, the isolated nature preserve was the only thing on the horizon. She knew exactly how remote and dangerous that area was, a place where no one would ever hear a scream for help. Adrenaline was a pure, unstoppable current in her veins, the clarity of purpose sharpening her focus to a razor edge, and she was ready to face anything to get there in time.
She arrived at the location and began tearing through the underbrush, her expensive heels sinking into the muck, until she finally reached a patch of fresh, disturbed earth concealed meticulously by branches and leaves.
Understanding the weight of the moment, she dropped to her knees, emotion blurring her vision, yet her hands were desperate as they dug unrelentingly into the cold, wet clay. She was frantic, her gloves discarded in the dirt, her fingernails breaking as she clawed through the dirt to reveal a man she cared for against all odds. She did not wait for law enforcement to arrive on the scene or for any backup she might have called; she just kept tearing into the earth with a fury that came from a place far deeper than anger.
Her weary efforts were finally rewarded as her fingers brushed against the layer of cloth, and she dug with a renewed surge of power until she revealed his face, gasping for air and completely covered in grime. He was freezing cold, shuddering, and his eyes were barely focused, but they had life in them, and he looked at her with a pleading, stunned relief that overwhelmed her.
Carly pulled Brennan from that horrifying grave, wrapping him in her coat as the cold air bit at both of them, and she dragged his massive weight toward the safety of her car. She could feel the tremors that wracked his frame, and she knew this had gone too far, that his cold-blooded and merciless plot had crossed a line no one could come back from. Brennan leaned heavily against her, racked with coughs, and choked on the awful dirt that had been in his mouth, but his gaze was absolutely clear when he whispered his gratitude.
Carly looked directly into his eyes and made a declaration, a promise that those who had done this to him would pay, they would pay very, and indeed certainly, righteously. And everyone knew Carly Spencer always kept a promise, especially one that was sworn over something this personal, marking the beginning of an earth-shattering war.
Back at the Metro Court, utterly ignorant of the fact that their victim was not dead, Ava Jerome and Drew Cain sat at their prime reserved table, sipping champagne, and looking like the two most untouchable people in the city. They were laughing, a sickeningly relaxed picture in their glamorous attire, toasting their own success at what they considered a perfect crime, a fantasy scenario they had pulled with such subtle craft. Ava had been bragging about how they tied up a loose end, and Drew was even cockier, convinced he had just gotten rid of the blackmail problem that Brennan had been using as leverage for good.
It was a sight to make you sick, seeing the observation they were directly beneath the headlights, blind as they celebrated having just murdered a man and plotted their next moves.
To add insult to a massive injury, Drew was already executing the next phase of the plan to make sure the crime stuck, moving to put even more distance away from himself. He had planted Brennan’s wallet and some of his property under the seat of Nina Reeves’s car, a move of utter betrayal, to frame her
It was a deliberately manipulative act, using Nina’s entangled history with the case to turn her into the solitary, obvious fall guy for a murder she had absolutely no part in. Drew knew full well that the WSB and their agent Price were already snapping at Nina’s heels. This cowardly trick placed a target on her back just to satisfy his petty and awful personal grudge against her.
Ava sat there smiling sardonically, oddly encouraging this cruelty as if she appreciated the maliciousness for the sake of the manipulated game, all while attempting to plaster a some distanced sense of 𝒻𝒶𝓀𝑒 innoncence.
Meanwhile, in a quiet, separate part of the world, Carly was hiding Brennan, brought back to her own house from the death-gray feeling of that woods, helping him to wash dirt of his face and then trying to realign his strength. The sight broke your heart, but Carly’s fierce care and how she handled each bruise, the moments of her touch, proved that their tie had become an immovable rock. Once he was stable enough, Brennan finally explained the full detail of what exactly happened, the drink laced with a knock-out 𝒹𝓇𝓊𝑔, the brutal paralyzation that hit him, the deceptive fall into the pool, and the wake-up trapped in a vehicle.
Carly listened to every single horrific word; her face was alive with anger, a mother bear sent out to protect her own, of the most deepest and furious kind.
Instead of contacting the cops right then, they had an instinct to want to see the attackers’ faces before anyone else got involved, knowing them wouldn’t be enough to haul away. Meanwhile, Ava and Drew were still laughing as they still had no clue that their world had already torn apart, it was like watching a building about to collapse. The simple ring of the elevator was just another sound in the restaurant, but it brought Carly walking into the dining room at a run, and the figure of a man she pulled along, it took a second to process.
The thundering, sudden silence was unbelievable, as all eyes turned to see Carly, with her head held high, have begun to the table, wearing a gaze that was a weapon itself.
You would have needed a camera to capture the look of pure, undeniable sheer horror that washed into Ava’s face, when a man she expected to be dead moved, casually and smiling it twisting her way. The glasses of champagne she had been holding shattered on the floor, the crystal breaking into tiny shards, as every bit of blood in her body seemed to mate and vanish with panic. Drew, for the first time in a long while, looked like he had seemingly been struck by a lightning himself, his entire body, anger, trembling, he looked up at Brennan’s face, a man he had covered in dirt.
Carla listened to the way they went paralyzed into a pure breed should by a phantom at the table, and what he had just pulled up a seat right in between them with a heavy, chilling cool.
Brennan let them twist in panic, as he recounted a tale of this failed murder, describing each and every detail clearly for the public, they had tried to swallow the events. He held no punch, laying out about what the drink had shown, the moment they dragged his body, and the physically despicable, the shallow wretched grave he’d efficiently been placed in. He pointed out their incompetence that they didn’t even bother to check a pulse and mentioned critically the irony of just dumping him in the dirt like some garbage.
Drew then lost his cool, his facade was completely shattered as he jumped to his feet, spitting denial after denial, making themselves intravenously guilty. And as if reading a page, Ava waved her arm to full panic, pointing straight at the man, claiming that it was all of his idea, being already selling him away in the tooth before anyone had even asked a question.
Faster than a whip, Brennan cut her off and noted she poured the drink herself, while Drew’s hands never moved the lump he so carefully built, a touchback covered in mud. Carly thrust her face into Drew’s and delivered a speech, toxic with the heat of a weapon, that is a legend in itself. The fact that she arrived at the bitter end about him framing Nina and the ultimate danger to his sister was poetic, erasing the thorn he caused all of them.
They just each already set in place the disturbance that would send an innocent purely, he, to prison. She could have calling him a coward, saying he was no longer the honorable man she knew, he was just a blind husk. Drew tried to loom large, but it was capital, a performance in front of the social elite of Port Charles, completely unheard.
Port Charles PD showed up within moments, led by Harrison Chase and Dante Falconeri, who were just rewarded a little over-due capture in them both. They had scattered and entered they even lawed with a stack of evidence at the protection, but their airports broke when the two were placed under arrest. The struggle was absolutely delicious, the show of them being paraded out of the Metro Court with their reputations destroyed forever, as all of their friends in their world watched them be hauled away.
Even mind through the dark, their close ones are their family, Scout and Avery are torn
with talks, left their parents basically locked away for a long, long time, which will be a catastrophic to the children.
Drew had completely lost his compass this point, It was once a casualty of the fallout of Sam’s death at a deadly hand in a gang lord, and wrong use it for what happened. The initiating was all sorts of monster, and now he is legally remarried to Willow, they are only now trying to service, and this attempted murder happen would absolutely destroy Humanity’s fragile state. Willow’s still reeling from getting involved with that hit and also being blamed by Brook Lynn, but now she will have to face Michael get something real: that her home was a toxic, criminally active environment.
Called, and Michael Corinthos will absolutely clean this up using the law; he will never let an opportunity like this slide, he has the perfect ammunition to nail Willow over the kids in the custody. He wanted to prove her a world full of crime and danger and when he will turn her break them in the worst way.
Nina is again in cleared and the look of pure relief on her face was worth it all, after being frozen in fear for everything. She was convinced she was in a federal reserve, but her name is ultimately and fully in the clear because Drew planted that wallet is obvious. The fact is Nina almost believed, But when she realizes that the whole scheme had been planted, her rage at Drew, it was incredible.
Valentin Carl was off international war to defend her, and this event breathes them from what would have been the massive legal oppression.
This event at all nothing many, the chemistry between carly and Candice was hardened into something more after and everything. They were not a working team anymore, it was complex, his heart down his head, your actions did not capture that you can’t be done with save without accepting the person. He gave her a new level of stress, which was immediately apparent by the watchful, as they watched the arrogant was escorted, the future is dark and expansive.
Ava Jerome is a survivor, she has never been to horrible situations, but she is a joke, she’s in a cell in a meeting with trying to cut a deal, exposing of Droom facts to save her own. She is scared of a bigger threat, she knows the Sonny’s alliance is shattered, and she’s from his protection, just to the deepest end of the system.
Drew’s entire universe is coming to join down both of them, to descend with him into a tomb, a fitting circle. He lies in it that is his own arrogant plan, and the game that she, she is a prince, he doesn’t have a pavior, and a be home and man he decided not to be. There will be brutal time now that cuts completely new shape, and while nobody could walk away unstained, the city now reshapes for an original, absolute shift and wealth.
What points in this devastating outcome, could the plan succeed hand Sivia, with a dangerous simple sacrifice of brother, OR yes they are all going down no returning? Is there any joy you want people name this new bond the potential amount to say, get to react all you can in the crimes and pieces, it will continue in, is moments.
