The schedule, which was made public when former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Joe Giudice was incarcerated there between 2016 and 2019, has not changed.
Combs, 56, is required to make his bed to military standard by 7:30 a. m. , when guards conduct a room inspection. The buildings at Fort Dix were originally constructed as army barracks in 1917, making that standard literal.
The dormitory itself houses up to 100 men in one open bay, with a single shared bathroom and no privacy. His morning meal options are sparse, with bran flakes, skim milk, whole wheat bread, a banana, and jelly on a standard menu. However, Joe Giudice, who spent 41 months at the facility, has explained that money still talks inside those walls. He said inmates with funds can pay kitchen workers to prepare real meals, and that Combs, given his resources, would be able to live “a pretty decent life” compared to the general population.
There is one notable food-related detail that has drawn attention. TMZ confirmed that applesauce, which a witness at trial testified Combs liked to put on his cheeseburgers, is not available at the Fort Dix commissary. He can buy rice cakes for $5. 75, white tuna for $3.

His lawyers had specifically requested Fort Dix because completing the program could shave up to a year off his sentence.
At his sentencing, Combs wrote to the judge, “The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you. I choose to live. ” He also stated he had been sober for the first time in 25 years.
That narrative was complicated barely a week after he arrived.
